Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to the Vroomy app and website (together, the “Service”), provided by The Only AIgency, a sole proprietorship registered in Denmark (CVR 42319473) (“Vroomy”, “we”, “us” or “our”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

• “Account” means the account you create to use the Service.
• “Home” means a group of users who share a space in the Service, such as roommates in a flat, a dorm or a shared house.
• “Content” means information, text, images and other material you add to the Service, such as expenses, chores, events, notes, grocery items and photos.
• “Vroomy Plus” means the paid subscription to extra features of the Service.

Who can use Vroomy

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

Keeping your account safe

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for what happens in your Account. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it.

Accurate information

Please give accurate information when you create your Account, and keep it up to date.

Your home

When you create or join a Home, the other members can see the Content you add to it, and you can see theirs. Use these features respectfully, and only share information about your roommates that they're happy for you to share.

You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes to organize a shared home, including expenses, chores, calendar events, groceries and notes. You agree not to:

• use the Service for anything illegal or unauthorized, or break any laws, including copyright laws
• share content that is harmful, harassing or offensive
• try to access our systems or other users' Accounts without permission
• use the Service for spam, fraud or other malicious activity
• reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract the source code of the Service
• use automated scripts or bots to access the Service
• enter false or misleading information about expenses or other matters in your Home

Our rights

The Service, including its design, illustrations, text and software, belongs to Vroomy and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws.

Your license to use Vroomy

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to use the Service in line with these Terms.

Your Content

You keep ownership of your Content. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process and show it, only to provide and improve the Service, including showing it to the members of your Home.

Your Content must follow the law and these Terms, and you're responsible for it. We may remove Content that breaks these Terms. We back up the Service, but we can't guarantee that data is never lost, so keep your own copy of anything important.

The Service uses or links to services from other companies, such as Apple, Google and Meta, and shows ads from Google. Their own terms and privacy policies apply to them, and we aren't responsible for them.

Vroomy is free to use, with ads. You may sometimes be offered to watch an ad to use some Vroomy Plus features for a limited time. That doesn't remove ads or start a subscription.

What you get

Vroomy Plus adds extra features, such as the chore scoreboard, repeating expenses and events, home colors and no ads, as described on our website and in the app. A subscription covers everyone in the subscriber's Home for as long as the subscription is active and the subscriber is a member of that Home.

Billing and renewal

Vroomy Plus is sold through the Apple App Store, and is paid and managed through your Apple Account under Apple's terms as well as these Terms. It's billed monthly or yearly in advance and renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. If a free trial is offered, the first payment is taken when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

Price changes

We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. A new price applies from your next billing period, and Apple will ask for your consent where required.

Cancelling

You can cancel at any time under Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings. We can't cancel App Store subscriptions for you. When you cancel, you keep Vroomy Plus until the end of the period you've paid for. Refunds are handled by Apple under its refund policy. Deleting your Account doesn't cancel your subscription.

If you leave

You can leave a Home or delete your Account at any time from the menu in the app, or by writing to us. What happens to your data is described in our privacy policy.

If we end it

We may suspend or close an Account that breaks these Terms or harms other users, us or others, where possible after telling you why.

What still applies

Parts of these Terms that by their nature continue after your Account ends, such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limits on liability, still apply.

Availability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it running well, but we can't promise it will always be available or free of errors.

Money

Vroomy helps you keep track of shared expenses and who owes what. It doesn't move money, process payments between roommates or give financial advice. You pay each other outside the app, and you're responsible for the amounts you enter and the decisions you make based on them.

Living together

Vroomy doesn't create legal obligations between the members of a Home, and we aren't responsible for disagreements between users.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data or use, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under mandatory law.

You agree to cover claims, losses and costs that arise because you broke these Terms, misused the Service or violated someone else's rights.

If you use Vroomy on an Apple device:

• These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are responsible for the app and its content.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
• If the app doesn't meet a warranty that applies, you can tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
• Apple isn't responsible for claims relating to the app, such as product liability, failure to meet legal requirements, consumer protection or privacy laws, or intellectual property claims. We are.
• You confirm that you're not in a country under a US embargo and not on a US list of restricted parties.
• Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.

These Terms are governed by Danish law. Disputes go to the Danish courts, with the Copenhagen City Court as the first instance. If you're a consumer in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live.

Our privacy policy explains how we collect, use and protect your information, and is part of these Terms.

We may update these Terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the new Terms.

If part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
